It has become a significant threat to the environment. It is caused by a natural process called greenhouse effect but it is intensified to its current level with some human activities. Global warming possesses threat of extreme heat, drought, flood, rising sea levels and extinction of some animal and plant species. Global Warming is caused by a naturally appearing process called the greenhouse effect. The greenhouse effect begins with the sun and the energy it radiates to the earth. The earth and the atmosphere absorbs some of these energy while the rest is radiated back into space. Naturally occurring gases trap some of these energy and reflect it back, warming the earth.
